Sunbelt Staffing seeks a Special Education Teacher for middle and elementary grades in Connecticut for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time itinerant role involves working across multiple schools with travel funded by the district. The position offers competitive pay starting at $70+ per hour and a collaborative, student-centered environment.

You will support students with diverse needs, develop IEPs, monitor progress, and communicate with families to promote growth and inclusion.

Formación

• Connecticut SPED credential required.
• Experience teaching or supporting diverse learners.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring.
• Excellent communication with families and service providers.
• Adaptability and creativity to modify instructional materials and strategies.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver individualized instruction to middle and elementary students in special education.
• Develop, revise, and implement IEPs ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintain records on student performance, attendance, progress, and behavior.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to promote inclusive practices.
• Engage with families to communicate progress and growth.
• Participate in staff meetings, PD opportunities, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Itinerant assignments with paid travel across multiple schools.
