Job summary

Big Blue Marble Academy is seeking an Early Childhood Language Teacher to engage students with the Passport to Language curriculum across multiple centers in the Charlotte area.

You will use workbooks, songs, drama and games to create a positive learning environment and may travel weekly to deliver language enrichment, communicating with children, parents and staff. A CDA/AA/BA in ECE is preferred and bilingual abilities are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• CDA, AA or BA degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Fluent in Spanish, French or Mandarin and English.
• Experience working with children in groups.
• Willingness to travel within a predetermined territory.

Responsibilities

• Engage students of all age groups through the Passport to Language curriculum.
• Utilize workbook, songs, drama, games and other learning materials to create a positive, fun learning environment.
• May travel between centers weekly to deliver language enrichment.
• Communicate clearly with children, directors, peers and parents.
• Create written communication to parents as directed by Curriculum Director.
