Job summary

The Blossoms is seeking an experienced Traveling BOM regional assistant to support Skilled Nursing Facilities in Van Buren, Fort Smith, Eureka Springs and Berryville, with occasional travel beyond the area.

In this on-site role, you will serve as interim Business Office Manager, handle Medicaid applications, oversee AR, resident trust accounting, month-end close, and staff training, while partnering with facility leadership to optimize the revenue cycle.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility business office, with billing, collections, AR, and resident trust accounting.
• At least 1 year of management experience within a Skilled Nursing Facility business office.
• Extensive knowledge of Arkansas Medicaid and Medicaid Pending processes preferred.
• Able to travel throughout the Arkansas region to provide on-site facility support.
• Experience with PCC billing system preferred.
• RFMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as interim Business Office Manager at SNFs in Arkansas as vacancies arise.
• Assist with Arkansas Medicaid applications and Medicaid Pending accounts.
• Provide training and support to newly hired Business Office Managers.
• Assist BOMs with accounts receivable, billing, collections, and resident trust accounting.
• Collaborate with facility and regional business office director.
• Manage front-end collections of resident AR balances and communicate with residents.
• Support back-end collection efforts after resident discharge.
• Monitor Medicaid Pending accounts and coordinate with state and facilities to resolve.
• Assist with month-end closing of the billing system.
• Oversee resident trust accounting and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with resident trust reconciliations and discrepancy resolution.
• Coordinate audit responses and maintain documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve revenue cycle and collections.
• Provide regional BO support and complete special projects.
