Job summary

Bowen is seeking a Safety Manager for Evansville and surrounding Midwestern states to plan and implant Bowen’s safety program across projects, ensuring a safe, healthy environment for direct hires and subcontractors alike.

You will train crews, conduct incident investigations, review subcontractor safety plans, and perform project safety inspections using SafetyNet, coordinating with project leadership to meet OSHA standards and Bowen policies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Safety Management and 2-5 years experience in Safety Management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of ES&H standards, rules and regulations for construction.
• Experience conducting accident investigations is desirable.
• Stay current with construction safety rules and regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Bowen’s safety program on projects for direct hire and subcontractors.
• Coordinate daily safety planning with Project Superintendent and escalate as needed.
• Read, enforce OSHA Standards and Bowen Safety Policies on all projects.
• Conduct new hire orientations for Bowen employees and craft workers.
• Assist in development of site-specific safety plans with Project Managers.
• Review and approve subcontractor safety plans and participate in pre-job safety meetings.
• Train crews on safety practices and mentor operations staff.
• Notify and coordinate incident reporting and investigations with management.
• Conduct project safety inspections using SafetyNet and address deficiencies promptly.
• Prepare, submit, and maintain Bowen safety documentation and weekly reports.
