Job summary

The Weitz Company is hiring a Project Safety Manager to lead safety on our Industrial projects, with travel to Beaumont, TX for the first assignment. You will champion company safety standards, conduct training, audits, and incident investigations across the project team.

We seek a seasoned safety professional with strong communication and organizational skills to support preconstruction planning and ongoing regulatory compliance while maintaining a proactive safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the creation of the project safety plan.
• Track and trend project safety performance and recommend corrective measures.
• Verify project team adherence to safety processes.
• Assist with safety program enforcement and document it.
• Facilitate project safety committees and preconstruction safety meetings.
• Conduct site safety training and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are closed out.
• Ensure authority to stop unsafe work on site when needed.
• Maintain site safety documentation and incident investigations.
• Coordinate safety activities with the Project Manager.
