Job summary

Hoffman- is seeking a Site Engineer to ensure functional BAS/PLC system performance, document compliance, and coordinate among project stakeholders on-site. You will manage schedules, mitigate risks, and support programming, field integration, and overall project documentation.

The role requires traveling up to 75% to job sites and customer locations, with non-remote work unless management determines otherwise. A Bachelor’s degree and relevant PM experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering/Business or related field.
• Experience managing construction or building automation projects with scope, schedule and budget responsibility.
• Proficiency with Smartsheet and related PM platforms.
• Ability to use project data to manage risk and forecast outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements, sequence of operation, programming, and system types.
• Verify onsite system operability and performance.
• Maintain wiring diagrams, sequence changes, DDC/PLC programs, HMIs and displays.
• Maintain commissioning docs and collaborate with programming for complete closeout.
• Develop project plans using Smartsheet/MS Project/Procore and CX Alloy dashboards.
• Coordinate stakeholders to meet milestones and deliverables.
• Monitor project performance, forecast delays or budget impacts, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage building automation projects from initiation to closeout, coordinating subcontractors and internal teams.
• Assist with field integrations using Modbus, BACnet, LON, OPC and related software (e.g., Tridium, Fieldserver, ModScan, WireShark).
• Conduct site visits and resolve technical issues with field teams.
• Adhere to safety training and PPE requirements.
