Job summary

Hoffman & Hoffman Inc is seeking a Site Engineer to ensure functional BAS/PLC systems, maintain project documentation, and coordinate with stakeholders on site. You will manage schedules, mitigate risks, and provide on-site support for programming, field integration, and overall project documentation.

The role requires project management skills, site oversight, and collaboration with subcontractors, with 75–100% travel to job sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Experience managing construction or building automation projects with scope, schedule, budget, and subcontractor management.
• Strong familiarity with electrical and mechanical installation practices and commissioning processes.
• Proficiency with Smartsheet (or similar), building and managing complex project plans, reports, dashboards, and workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to use project data and analytics to manage risk and forecast outcomes.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills across multiple stakeholders.
• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain).
• Willingness to travel up to 75% to job sites and customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements, sequence of operation, programming, and system types.
• Verify on-site performance to confirm system functionality.
• Maintain project documentation: wiring diagrams, sequence changes, DDC/PLC programs, HMIs, displays.
• Support commissioning documentation and collaborate with programming team for closeout.
• Develop project plans using Smartsheet, MS Project, Procore, CX Alloy; set up dashboards and automated workflows.
• Facilitate communication among stakeholders to meet milestones.
• Generate analytical reports on project metrics, finances, and performance.
