Job summary

Hoffman Family of Companies is seeking a Site Engineer to ensure functional BAS/PLC system performance, accurate documentation, and safe operations on complex building automation projects. You will coordinate among stakeholders, manage schedules, mitigate risks, and provide on-site support for programming, field integration, and project closeout.

The role requires onsite work with up to 75% travel, strong project-management skills, and a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Data Analytics or related field.
Experience managing construction or building automation/controls projects with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, and subcontractor management.
Proficiency with Smartsheet (or similar project management platforms).
Demonstrated ability to use project data and analytics to manage risk, forecast outcomes, and drive corrective actions.

Responsibilities

Understand project requirements, sequence of operation, programming, and system types.
Assist onsite performance verification to confirm system functionality.
Maintain project documentation including wiring diagrams, sequences, DDC/PLC programs, HMIs, and displays.
Develop and maintain project plans using Smartsheet, MS Project, Procore, CX Alloy, including dashboards and automated workflows.
Coordinate communication among project stakeholders to meet milestones.
Generate reports summarizing project metrics, financial data, and performance.
