Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Security Systems Technician to join one of our clients in the security technology industry. This individual will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and programming a variety of electronic security systems for commercial clients.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience working with alarm systems, CCTV/video surveillance solutions, and access control systems, along with strong problem‑solving and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years installing security equipment.
• Technical background in electronic systems or related field.
• Experience with intrusion systems and access control.
• Ability to travel overnight frequently.
• Own a basic tool set and knowledge of wiring.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair security systems including intrusion alarms and CCTV.
• Perform site surveys to determine optimal placement and configuration.
• Program, configure, and test security systems per client requirements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and system upgrades as needed.
• Document installations and configurations; ensure safety and standards.

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Security Systems Technician to join one of our clients in the security technology industry. This individual will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and programming a variety of electronic security systems for commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience working with alarm systems, CCTV/video surveillance solutions, and access control systems, along with strong problem‑solving and customer service skills.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair security systems, including intrusion alarms, CCTV/video surveillance equipment, and access control systems.Perform site surveys and assessments to determine optimal placement and configuration of security system components.Program, configure, and test security systems to ensure functionality and alignment with client requirements.Conduct preventative maintenance and system upgrades as needed.Collaborate with customers and internal teams to identify and resolve technical issues.Document service activities, system configurations, and completed work accurately.Ensure all installations and repairs comply with industry standards, company policies, and safety regulations.

Compensation:

Salary range: $60,000 – $80,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and skill set.

Skills and Requirements

5 years experience installing security equipmentTechnical background in electronic systems or related field.Strong understanding of security system components and installation procedures.Knows intrusion systems and access controlExperience with basic hookupsExperience and knows how to correctly pull cableExperience with where and how to mount and wire the security equipmentBasic understanding of wiring panels and head endsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently/with others and manage time effectively.Strong communication and customer service skills.Willingness to travel overnight frequently.Need to have their own compliment of toolsIndustry certifications such as Lenel, Genetec, Software House (CCURE), Honeywell, Bosch, or similar security platforms.Experience with commercial security system installations and service.Low-voltage or electrical systems experience.
