Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Safety Manager to lead health and safety programs across construction and mechanical operations. You will drive regulatory compliance, reduce incidents, and foster a proactive safety culture with training, leadership, and oversight of projects, personnel, and subcontractors.

The role requires CSP/CHST standards, OSHA 30-hour training, and at least 5 years of safety management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of safety management experience in construction and mechanical environments; proven track record reducing incidents and improving compliance.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction training required; additional OSHA certifications a plus.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and industry best practices.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with safety management systems, incident reporting tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures tailored to construction and mechanical worksites.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Deliver and coordinate safety training, toolbox talks, and orientation programs, including OSHA 30-hour training and site-specific instruction.
• Manage contractor and subcontractor safety performance, pre-qualifications, and site onboarding to ensure consistent standards across projects.
• Monitor safety metrics, prepare reports and dashboards for leadership, and recommend improvements based on data and trends.
• Oversee personal protective equipment (PPE) programs, permit-to-work systems, lockout/tagout procedures, and confined space entry protocols.
• Serve as the company liaison during regulatory inspections and audits, and ensure timely resolution of findings and citations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineering, HR, and operations to integrate safety into planning, design reviews, and change management.
• Champion a positive safety culture through coaching, leadership engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
