Job summary

RHA Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Day Shift to support individuals with IDD and mental health challenges. The position is onsite at our North Brunswick, NJ location with travel to resident group homes across Passaic, Bergen and Middlesex counties.

We offer a full-time schedule, 8:30am–5:00pm, and compensation starting around $80,000+ depending on experience and credentials. Benefits and paid time off are available for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited registered nurse program.
• Current registered nurse license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
• BSN preferred, but not required.
• CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with IDD.
• Observe, assess, and evaluate health needs of people we support.
• Coordinate preventative and routine medical care for people supported.
• Document nursing care provided.
• Provide clinical supervision or oversight for licensed practical nurses and med techs as deemed necessary.
• Assist with educational and training programs for new employees to include planning, conducting, and scheduling in a timely manner.
• Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
