Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Floating Facilities Manager to oversee daily maintenance operations at a single installation on a temporary basis, with extensive travel to multiple communities. You will supervise the maintenance team, manage budgets, and coordinate contractor bids and safety compliance.

The role requires HVAC certification, blueprints reading, and strong leadership. Travel may be 100% of the time, with company provisions for base locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in facilities management or equivalent.
• HVAC certification (Universal H.V.A.C. CFC) and ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of local building codes, OSHA standards, Hazmat, EPA and universal waste protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the community repair and maintenance function at a single installation during a temporary assignment.
• Coordinate contractor bids, negotiate terms, and execute service agreements.
• Ensure compliance with legal documents, safety and OSHA standards.
• Monitor budgets and provide financial reporting for maintenance activities.
