Job summary

One Health is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist based in Powell, WY, with travel to Cody, Greybull, and Lovell as scheduled. This role uses lived experience to support individuals on their wellness journey and requires state peer certification and BLS within 30 days of hire.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, typically Monday–Friday, with a focus on recovery-oriented care and community training. Salary is DOE and includes comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with SUD and/or mental health conditions, including a documented diagnosis.
• Minimum two years in successful recovery.
• Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintains stable recovery and necessary care/treatment of behavioral health challenges and publicly identifies as in recovery.
• Obtains/maintains state certification for Peer Supporters.
• Understands recovery concepts related to behavioral health; peer support and wellness planning.
• Facilitates patient engagement and follow-up care.
• Documents encounters in the electronic health record; stays current on documentation.
• Facilitates referrals for services outside the primary care clinic.
• Participates in multidisciplinary, team-based care.
• Participates in training and grant-related requirements.
• Teaches Fatherhood/Motherhood sections annually.
• Provides Narcan training for community groups as needed.
• Exemplifies patient-centered care and communicates needs to the care team.
• Provides exceptional customer service and supports the organization’s mission.
