Job summary

RailPros is seeking a Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC) to provide on-site roadway worker protection for activities on and around live railroad tracks. You will coordinate job sites, dispatcher communications and various on-track safety tasks in controlled and non-controlled track areas.

The role requires 2+ years of Class I railroad Maintenance of Way experience, GED, and willingness to travel across IL, IN, MI, OH, and WI with per diems and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of Class I railroad MOW experience.
• Ability to coordinate with train dispatchers and crews.

Responsibilities

• Provide required jobsite protection on each assignment per safety rules.
• Conduct daily job briefings and ensure safety compliance.
• Prepare electronic forms and reports for each assignment.
• Handle signs, derail devices and equipment up to 90 pounds.
• Communicate with RWIC supervisors and managers about schedules.
• Maintain a respectful, safety-focused work culture.
