Job summary

RailPros is seeking a Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC) to provide on-site roadway worker protection near live railroad tracks and coordinate job sites. The role involves dispatcher/train communications and on-track safety in both controlled and non-controlled track areas.

The position requires a GED, at least 2 years of track/construction experience, and CP On Track Worker certification. Expect extensive travel across multiple states and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Minimum of 2 years in track and/or construction experience.
• CP On Track Worker and Operating Rules certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide required jobsite protection on each assignment with radio communication to dispatchers and engineers.
• Conduct daily job briefings and ensure safety requirements are followed by all personnel.
• Prepare and submit electronic forms for each assignment and related reports.
• Handle signs, derail and tools weighing 15–90 pounds as needed.
• Participate in safety classes and qualification training.
• Maintain clear communication with RWIC supervisors regarding assignments and schedules.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace culture and uphold company values.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and laws; perform other duties as needed.
