Job summary

RailPros is seeking a Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC) to perform on-site roadway worker protection around live railroad tracks and to coordinate job sites with dispatchers. This role requires extensive travel and ensures on-track safety in both controlled and non-controlled track areas.

The position requires a GED and at least 2 years of track/construction experience, plus CP On Track Worker certification. Benefits include travel per diems and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years track and/or construction experience.
• CP On Track Worker and Operating Rules certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide jobsite protection per rules, including radio comms with dispatchers and engineers.
• Lead daily safety briefings and ensure adherence to safety requirements.
• Submit job setup forms, daily work reports, invoices, and other reports.
• Handle and place signs, derail and related devices weighing 15–90 pounds.
• Participate in safety classes and qualification training.
