Job summary

NexGen, the self-perform arm of Gray Construction, seeks a Traveling Quality Control Technician to support concrete projects in Louisville, KY. This is a travel-based role requiring extensive field inspections and adherence to project specs.

The ideal candidate holds a related degree, 2–5 years in concrete construction, and strong communication skills. You will audit submittals, verify documents, and report findings to NexGen quality management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or technical/associate degree in a related field.
• 2–5 years in concrete construction or 5+ years of work experience.
• Must travel up to 100% and have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify approvals and submittals prior to start of work and ensure alignment with drawings/specifications.
• Audit contractor quality plans and project documentation for NexGen and subcontractors.
• Report daily audits and testing results to quality management.
• Conduct inspections and delegated design verifications as required.
• Coordinate corrective actions with Site Manager and hold points as needed.
