Job summary

NexGen Contracting is seeking a Traveling Quality Control Technician to support the Concrete team in Louisville, KY. This travel-based position requires frequent field inspections, documentation, and QA/QC testing to ensure project alignment with contract documents.

The successful candidate will have a related degree and practical QA/QC experience in concrete construction, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 100%. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or technical/associate degree in a related field.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.
• Familiarity with basic computer tools (word processing, spreadsheets, email).

Responsibilities

• Verify submittals prior to start of work.
• Audit contractor quality plans.
• Document project records and test results.
• Perform quality control inspections during installation.
• Inspect materials and equipment for conformance with specs.
• Handle to-do/punch list development and closure.
• Communicate quality status in client meetings.
• Escalate quality issues to management and stop work if needed.
