Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials is seeking a Quality Control Technician for our Phoenix, AZ plant. You will ensure quality control of batching, mixing, and delivering high-quality ready-mixed concrete that meets project specs and customer expectations.

Travel may be required to monitor quality standards and perform testing. Responsibilities include performing QC tests, calibrating equipment, sampling raw materials, and communicating results to dispatch and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of QC experience in construction, industrial, or manufacturing settings.
• Strong organizational and mathematical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC tests (air content, slump/workability, coarseness/sandiness, yield, set time, water-cement ratio, strength).
• Calibrate production and testing equipment.
• Sample and test raw materials for specification compliance.
• Record and communicate test results to dispatch, batch personnel, and customers.
• Troubleshoot fresh and hardened concrete to identify quality issues.
