A leading construction company in Kansas is seeking an experienced Traveling Project Superintendent to lead on-site operations for various commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in commercial construction, strong field leadership skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of safety and quality. This role requires extensive travel and offers competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in commercial construction.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel for extended durations.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors, owners, and project teams.
• Self-driven, organized, and detail-oriented with site logistics.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site construction activities for projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors and maintain overall project flow.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and complies with contract documents.
• Enforce jobsite safety practices and maintain a clean, organized site
• Complete daily logs, photos, and reports; maintain communication with the Project Manager
• Participate in owner/architect meetings and provide field-driven solutions
• Review drawings, RFIs, and submittals to resolve conflicts early
• Manage punch lists, quality control, and project closeout
• Travel required; the superintendent will be assigned to projects across regional markets with extended on-site durations

Job Summary

Harman Huffman Construction Group is seeking an experienced Traveling Project Superintendent to lead on-site operations for commercial construction projects across multiple states. This role requires strong field leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to HHCG’s high standards of craftsmanship and client service.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily on-site construction activities for ground-up and renovation projects

Coordinate subcontractors, schedule activities, and maintain overall project flow

Ensure work meets HHCG quality standards and complies with contract documents

Enforce jobsite safety practices and maintain a clean, organized site

Complete daily logs, photos, and reports; maintain communication with the Project Manager

Participate in owner/architect meetings and provide field-driven solutions

Review drawings, RFIs, and submittals to resolve conflicts early

Qualifications

Proficiency with tablets, email, and field software (Procore/PlanGrid/Bluebeam a plus)
