Job summary

J.E. Shurden Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee heavy civil construction projects across multiple states.

The role requires coordinating with field leadership, subcontractors, vendors, customers, general contractors, and leadership to ensure safety, schedule, and project requirements are met. The position is based in Mississippi with travel to active project sites throughout the operating region, including frequent overnight stays near project locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction project management or assistant PM roles.
• Heavy civil, infrastructure, highway, utility experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, schedules, contracts, and related docs.
• Experience coordinating field staff, subcontractors, vendors, materials, equipment, and schedules.
• Knowledge of project cost management, labor tracking, scheduling, and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects from mobilization to closeout.
• Maintain plans, schedules, scopes, and contractual requirements.
• Develop and monitor project milestones and targets.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and resources.
• Work with Superintendents to set field priorities and objectives.
• Monitor progress, costs, and performance; address delays and issues.
