Job summary

J.E. Shurden Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee heavy civil construction projects across our multi-state operation.

This role may be based in Arkansas or Mississippi and requires regular travel to active project sites throughout the region. The Project Manager will coordinate projects from mobilization through completion, working closely with field leadership, subcontractors, vendors, customers, general contractors, and company leadership to ensure safety,

Qualifications

• Experience in construction project management roles such as PM, AP Mgr, superintendent, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, schedules, contracts, and other project documents.
• Experience coordinating field employees, subs, vendors, materials, equipment, and schedules.
• Strong knowledge of cost management, labor tracking, scheduling, and change-order processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from mobilization through completion and closeout.
• Develop and monitor schedules, milestones, and targets.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, subs, vendors for execution.
• Partner with Superintendents to set field priorities and objectives.
• Monitor progress, productivity, costs, and performance.
• Identify delays, scope issues, and develop solutions.
• Communicate risks, delays, and staffing needs to leadership.
• Travel to active project sites as required.
