Elford is seeking a Traveling Project Engineer to support delivery of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will work with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and clients, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of project execution while building a foundation for a future career in project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0–3 years of construction experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software is a plus.
• Desire to build a long-term career in construction.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and project startup activities.
• Assist with managing project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project logs.
• Help coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
• Track and expedite shop drawings, material procurement, and equipment deliveries.
• Assist with maintaining project schedules and monitoring progress.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate updates with internal and external stakeholders.
• Review and process invoices, change requests, and other project‑related documentation.
• Collect and organize as‑built drawings, closeout documents, warranties, and operation manuals.
• Partner with Accounting, Estimating, and Operations teams to support project objectives.
• Learn the processes and tools necessary to successfully manage construction projects from start to finish.
