Job summary

Conti Federal is seeking a Project Engineer to work with the project team and field management to deliver a safe, high quality project while improving profits. This role covers subcontractor management, submittals, buyout, and cost estimation.

You will coordinate with superintendents and project managers, review records daily, monitor yields and waste, and assist with cash flow and look-ahead schedules. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or related field with 3+ years of experience.
Experience in startup meetings, buyouts, owner estimates, and cost-to-completes.
Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills; organized and entrepreneurial.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with project team and field management to deliver a safe, quality project.
Manage subcontractors, submittals, buyout, and cost estimation.
Review foremen's daily reports for accurate accounting of income, cost and inventory.
Monitor material yields and minimize waste; assist buyout and requisitions.
Conduct daily site walks to track progress and identify issues.
Develop 12-month cash flow and update budgets for owner change orders.
Oversee subcontractors, attend coordination meetings, and manage schedules.
Prepare submittals, shop drawings, and material certifications for approval.
Contribute to Four Week Look Ahead schedules with supervisors.
Participate in daily huddles and maintain client relationships.
Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and business development activities.
