Job summary

Cooper Tacia General Contracting is seeking a Traveling Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager to join our project execution team. You will work under Senior PMs and Site Superintendents across the Southeast, coordinating schedules, budgets, and communications to ensure on-time, on-budget project completion while traveling to sites.

This role requires relocation and supports long-term on-site projects in the Southeast, collaborating with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to meet project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in project management or similar role.
• Knowledge of Procore and Primavera is highly recommended.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in daily operations to implement project plans.
• Engage in negotiations for subcontractor and vendor pricing to optimize project costs.
• Manage project schedules, documentation, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Handle RFI submissions and track submittals with clear communication across teams.
• Assist in project planning, including creating schedules and budgets to keep tasks on schedule.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to meet project requirements.
• Support the Project Manager in tracking progress and maintaining project documentation.
• Monitor and report on project costs and identify potential issues.
