Job summary

FlatironDragados seeks a Project Controls Engineer to manage prime contract management, scheduling, cost control and contract change management for Advanced Technology projects, including Data Center markets. This full-time traveling assignment supports multiple districts and emphasizes on-time delivery and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• 3+ years’ experience in construction engineering, project management or project controls.
• Experience with complex scheduling and cost control processes.
• Knowledge of construction contract agreements and change order processes.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, including construction accounting.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes contract management records to provide technical advice and project control guidance.
• Assists with cost controls reporting and reconciliation for one District or Mega Project, providing reports to the Project Controls Director for division-level summaries.
• Supports the scheduling process for District or Mega Projects, including bid phase, project schedule creation, monthly reporting, and schedule updates.
• Aids in the integration of company systems to track, monitor, and control costs or schedules, ensuring accurate training and utilization of approved systems for project document control and reporting.
• Conducts regular project reviews and monitors job cost reports against KPIs.
• Coordinates with the Division Claims/Contract Manager to track and monitor change order and claims preparation and resolution.
