Traveling Phlebotomist Medical Assistant Medical Technician

We are looking for an experienced Phlebotomist Medical Technician Medical Assistant to join our team at our Baton Rouge, LA site for a full-time position. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to demonstrate organizational skills, efficiency in all tasks, and attention to detail
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical information
  • Ability to effectively present information, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer and telephone
  • Knowledge of current diagnostic tests, their functions, and normal results
  • Has consistently demonstrated service-oriented performance
  • Must adhere to the service expectations of CORE, LLC

DUTIES:

  • Adheres to all CORE, LLC policies and procedures
  • Adheres to departmental Quality Assurance procedures
  • Obtains basic history, and medical information, and takes vital signs
  • Administers intramuscular injections under authorization and supervision of physician in accordance with State of Louisiana law and prevailing CORE, LLC agreements and protocols
  • Performs collection of vital signs, visual acuity, and color testing
  • Performs urine specimen collection following DOT regulations and/or chain of custody requirements
  • Performs 12 lead EKGs
  • Performs other duties as required

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current National Phlebotomy Certification (strongly preferred)
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification (preferred)
  • Pass DISA Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • TWIC Card (preferred)
  • Basic Orientation Plus from Alliance Safety Council (preferred)
  • Class D/Chauffeur's Drivers License (strongly preferred or willing to obtain within 60 days of hire)
  • Must have available transportation with up to date insurance coverage
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and employees
