Job summary

TalentBurst seeks a Phlebotomist – Float responsible for high-quality blood specimen collection and safe patient care across multiple hospital locations. The role involves venipuncture, sample labeling, and maintaining patient safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires travel to sites, strong communication, and independent work with minimal supervision. A High School Diploma is required; phlebotomy certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary collections on patients of all ages.
• Accurately label and process specimens per procedures.
• Verify patient demographics and obtain signatures post-collection.
• Maintain accurate records and specimen integrity.
• Provide excellent customer service and a welcoming environment.
• Adhere to safety, confidentiality, and compliance standards.
• Travel between multiple locations and provide coverage with short notice.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting productivity/quality standards.
