Job summary

Croell, Inc. is seeking a Traveling General Laborer for paving projects across Iowa and Minnesota. The role is full-time with overtime, requires travel, and reports to the Foreman with no supervisory duties.

Typically 1 year experience preferred; company offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, 401(k) with match, and a $1500 sign-on bonus. Wage is $24–$26 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Consent to pre-employment screening, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.
• Basic maintenance skills.
• Experience and knowledge of general construction and operating equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal supervisory instructions.

Responsibilities

• Be prompt and timely for all shifts, schedules, and projects.
• Perform a variety of tasks in the concrete paving industry.
• Operate tools and equipment as needed.
• Set baskets for highway paving.
• Help set up and tear down job sites for paving projects.
• Lift heavy objects and maintain/repair/clean equipment.
• Complete pre- and post-shift inspections and assist with equipment maintenance.
• Willingness to work outside the normal scope of duties, including poor weather or extended hours.
