Job summary

Croell, Inc. is seeking a Traveling General Laborer for paving projects across Iowa and Minnesota. The role is full-time with overtime, requires travel, and reports to the Foreman with no supervisory duties.

Typically 1 year experience preferred; company offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, 401(k) with match, and a $1500 sign-on bonus. Wage is $24–$26 per hour, based on experience.

• Perform a variety of tasks in the concrete paving industry.

• Complete pre- and post-shift inspections and assist with equipment maintenance.
• Willingness to work outside the normal scope of duties, including poor weather or extended hours.

Job Summary:

The General Laborer - Paving will be responsible for a variety of tasks in the concrete paving industry. The General Laborer is a full-time, seasonal position that requires travel with overtime through peak season, reports to the Foreman, and has no supervisory responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects.
• Perform a variety of tasks in the concrete paving industry.
• Operate tools and equipment as needed.
• Set baskets for highway paving.
• Help set up and tear down job site for paving projects.
• Lift heavy objects, maintain, repair, and clean equipment.
• Complete pre- and post-shift inspections and assist with maintenance or repair of equipment as needed.
• Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours).

Position Requirements:

• Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.
• Basic maintenance skills.
• Experience and knowledge of general construction and operating equipment.
• Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal.
