Job summary

Western Dental is seeking an Ortho Dental Assistant to deliver exceptional chair-side support and patient care in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art practice. You will assist doctors, take radiographs, and help maintain smooth patient flow while upholding HIPAA and safety standards.

The role requires radiography certification and a high school diploma, with state certification as a Dental Assistant or the ability to become certified; CPR and nitrous oxide monitoring are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current radiography certification required.
• Dental Assistant certification as required by state, or ability to become certified.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Nitrous oxide/Oxygen analgesia monitoring certification preferred.
• Maintain OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with a chair-side manner, making the patient the priority.
• Assist doctors with dental procedures and anticipate their needs.
• Take, develop and mount radiographs of high quality.
• Review patient charts, document health history and transcribe notes.
• Prepare and sterilize equipment and operatory per guidelines.
• Maintain patient flow and assist with scheduling and follow-up.
• Educate patients and address questions/concerns.
• Collaborate with team to ensure excellent patient service.
• Monitor dental supplies and order as needed.
• Promote Sonrava-supported practices and retail products.
