Job summary

PDS Health is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver a Perfect Patient Experience (PPE). You will prepare patients for exams, assist dental professionals, and help maintain a clean, sterile environment.

The role requires working with specialty areas and traveling to multiple offices when needed, with a focus on patient care and efficient appointment flow. A GED or high school diploma with required state credentials is expected.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma and state-m mandated training for certification/licensure.
• Specialty dental assistants may travel to multiple offices and need reliable transportation.
• One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per state Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Assist clinicians to ensure PPE and patient comfort.
• Escort patients to the front desk and introduce them to team members.
• Coordinate with front/back office to keep Orthodontists schedule running smoothly.
• Maintain sterile, clean operatory and disinfect instruments per guidelines.
• Prepare patients and assist dentist for efficient treatment.
• Take radiographs and intra-oral photos as directed.
• Prepare tray setups and manage supply levels in each operatory.
• Keep patients' mouths dry using suction and similar devices.
• Instruct patients on post-treatment care and health maintenance.
