Western Dental is seeking an Ortho Dental Assistant to support doctors, assist with procedures, and ensure an exceptional patient experience in a fast-paced San Jose office.

You will take radiographs, maintain sterilization, and help with scheduling while upholding HIPAA and safety standards. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient care, and precise procedural support in a growing practice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current radiography certification required.
• Dental Assistant certification as required by state or ability to become certified.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Maintain OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient service with excellent chair-side manner.
• Assist doctors and hygienists with dental procedures and anticipate needs.
• Take, develop and mount radiographs with high accuracy.
• Review patient charts, log health history, and transcribe notes.
• Prepare and sterilize equipment and operatory per guidelines.
• Maintain patient flow and support scheduling and lab tracking.
• Educate patients and answer questions; ensure confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Participate in daily huddles and team collaboration to ensure smooth operations.
