Virginia Eye Consultants in Suffolk, VA seeks an Ophthalmic Scribe to support physicians by documenting visits, managing the EMR, and ensuring accurate coding and billing. The role requires travel to Norfolk, Hampton, and Virginia Beach, with mileage reimbursed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (GED acceptable) and at least one year of related experience; competency in EMR, Microsoft Office, and strong communication and organizational skills are valued.

Qualificações

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• Ophthalmic Scribe Certification preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Document medical visits and procedures accurately as performed.
• Operate and manage patient EMR system.
• Input and verify ICD-9 codes and procedure charges.
• Help maintain clinic flow and prepare exam rooms.
• Assist with testing and keep rooms stocked.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Travel between offices as required.
• Coordinate with health care team.
