Job summary

POWERS is seeking an Operations Management Consultant to work on diverse client projects across manufacturing, food processing, warehousing, and related operations. Projects span 2–26 weeks and require travel Sundays through Fridays, with a focus on barrier removal and frontline leadership development.

You will coach client teams to map value streams, identify constraints, and train teams in repeatable problem-solving skills, driving measurable improvements without direct authority.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering required.
• 1–3 years industry experience or 5+ years supervisory/management.
• Experience in value stream mapping and waste analysis.
• Fluency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication to ground floor and middle management levels.
• Analytical, data-driven with ability to observe and improve live processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach client teams through change management to improve performance.
• Develop clear process understandings, identify barriers and train repeatable problem-solving.
• Drive measurable improvements and results with no direct authority.
• Collaborate with project managers to execute aggressive, results-focused schedules.
