Job summary

Good Samaritan Miller Prairie Ctr in Miller, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care facility. You will perform daily living assistance, help with meals, bathing, and mobility under RN supervision, following care plans and infection control policies.

This PRN role requires a minimum of 3 months in long term care, 18+ years of age, and CNA certification or enrollment in a program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification.
• Colorado: Depending on facility, QMAP certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, meals, and recording vital signs.
• Follow infection prevention and control policies and PPE usage.
• Communicate resident condition changes to the charge nurse and document interactions.
