Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan's GSS SD Miller Prairie Ctr will serve residents with dignity, provide daily living assistance, and support care plans under RN supervision. This role emphasizes infection prevention, resident safety, and compassionate care in a long-term care setting.

Applicants should have CNA certification, be 18+, with 3 months LT care experience preferred; Colorado QMAP if applicable; and a commitment to working at least 30 hours monthly including one weekend

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
• Colorado: QMAP certification may be required depending on facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, and meals.
• Document resident interactions and vital signs as needed.
• Support infection prevention policies and PPE use.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and range of motion exercises.
