Job summary

Wallick is seeking a traveling Construction Superintendent to lead multifamily projects across Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois and North Carolina. This hands-on role runs job sites, enforces safety, coordinates subcontractors, drives schedules, protects quality and controls costs on ground-up and occupied renovations.

Assignments last 9 to 36 months with frequent overnight travel; you must live near project sites.

Qualifications

• 7–11 years of construction field leadership and supervision experience.
• Demonstrated MF (multifamily) construction project experience.
• Experience with ground-up construction or occupied renovation work.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Knowledge of safety, quality control, cost control and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations from mobilization through turnover and closeout.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, deliveries, site logistics and sequencing.
• Conduct site walks and address field issues before delays, rework or cost impacts.
• Read and work from drawings, specs, contracts and schedules; communicate with design teams.
• Maintain an organized, professional, and accountable job site.
• Enforce safety standards and subcontractor compliance; lead toolbox talks.
• Monitor progress, manage change events, and drive punch-list completion.
