Job summary

Wallick Communities in Cleveland is seeking a Traveling Construction Superintendent to lead a multifamily project. This hands-on role requires supervising the jobsite, enforcing safety, coordinating subcontractors, and driving the schedule from mobilization through turnover.

Frequent travel is a major component, with assignments typically lasting 9 to 36 months before moving to a new project. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in field leadership on multifamily builds, strong reading of drawings

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction field leadership or superintendent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in multifamily construction projects.
• Experience with ground-up construction or occupied renovation work.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, contracts and schedules.
• Strong scheduling, cost control and project controls knowledge.
• Proven ability to lead subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades.
• Experience with construction software like Procore, Bluebeam or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations from mobilization through turnover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, deliveries, site logistics and sequencing.
• Conduct site walks and address field issues before delays or rework.
• Read and work from drawings, specifications, contracts and schedules; communicate with design consultants.
• Maintain an organized, professional, and accountable job site.
