Job summary

FCL Builders in Columbus, OH is seeking a Traveling MEP Assistant Superintendent to support field execution of data center projects. You will work closely with the MEP Superintendent, project team, and trade partners to coordinate systems, track progress, and maintain safety and quality on site.

You’ll review drawings, participate in site walks, and assist with preconstruction planning, BIM coordination, and field documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of field experience in commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction.
• Working knowledge of construction sequencing, subcontractor coordination, site logistics, and quality control.
• Familiarity with MEP systems, critical infrastructure, commissioning activities, and field documentation.
• Ability to support daily reporting, field coordination, issue tracking, and follow-through on active job sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing contract requirements, drawings, specifications, and MEP scopes.
• Coordinate with the MEP Superintendent, Project Manager, Project Engineer, and other Superintendents on site setup, sequencing, and logistics.
• Participate in site walks to document existing conditions and help identify preconstruction risks.
• Support long-leading item tracking, trade mobilization planning, and permitting coordination with AHJs.
• Assist with BIM coordination reviews to help identify constructability concerns and potential clashes.
