Job summary

Upgrade Resources seeks a Traveling Project Manager / Sr. PM - Mechanical for Texas projects. This full-time, on-site role oversees mechanical construction up to $10 million, with weekly travel and a relocation option. Base salary and per diem accompany the competitive package.

The position requires a 4-year mechanical engineering or construction science degree, 5+ years PM experience, OSHA-30, and readiness to travel or relocate. PMP preferred; bilingual skills a plus.

Qualifications

• 4-year mechanical engineering or construction science degree or commensurate training and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of mechanical construction project management experience on commercial, industrial, healthcare, higher education, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or data center projects.
• Willingness to travel to project sites during the week with weekends at home, or relocation for duration of assignment.
• OSHA-30 certification or ability to obtain within six months from hire date.
• Proven ability to manage scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety on projects up to $10 million.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, HVAC, and piping systems, construction methods, procurement practices, and applicable codes and standards.
• Project management skills across documentation, cost control, procurement, scheduling, change order pricing, and negotiating.
• Ability to work autonomously and exercise good judgment on a remote jobsite.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
• Preferred: PMP certification, experience with hyperscale data centers, hospital, life sciences, or semiconductor projects, design-build or design-assist delivery, bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management direction on mechanical construction projects up to $10 million at remote project sites.
• Lead projects in partnership with the project superintendent and control development.
• Staff key project positions through regional leaders and general superintendents.
• Serve as primary client, GC, and architect/engineer liaison; attend progress meetings.
• Negotiate, prepare, and issue subcontracts; manage subcontractor performance.
• Manage master schedule and variance reports to control schedule and budget.
• Oversee contract costs, billings, collections, and change orders; pursue additional work.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site.
• Ensure document controls and closeout deliverables are met.
• Mentor project managers, assistant PMs, and engineers.
