Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting LLC is seeking a Traveling Project Manager for mechanical construction with nationwide travel. Lead commercial HVAC/plumbing projects, oversee budgets, schedules, and teams across the United States, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in PM for large mechanical builds and experience with mission-critical/data center environments is preferred. Expect travel to multiple sites and long-term assignments as projects span 2–6 years.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial mechanical construction.
• Experience managing HVAC and/or Plumbing projects is required.
• Experience with large commercial projects valued at $20M+ is necessary.
• Experience with Mission Critical and Data Center construction is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and cost control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, procurement, and project execution.
• Coordinate with owners, design teams, field leadership, and subcontractors to ensure project success.
• Monitor project costs, change orders, forecasting, and financial performance.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Provide leadership and support to Superintendents, Project Engineers, and field personnel.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the life of each project.
