icon Mechanical is seeking a Traveling Project Manager to lead mechanical construction projects nationwide, coordinating engineers, schedulers, subcontractors, and field teams. The role emphasizes total project lifecycle management, subcontracting, billings, RFIs, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years as a Project Manager in Mechanical Construction
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or proven working experience in Construction Management
• Knowledge of HVAC and Piping Systems and related standards
• Familiarity with construction management software packages and strong computer skills
• Proficient in P6 or Microsoft Project
• Self-motivated with excellent time and project management skills
• Ability to work with deadlines and changing priorities
• Willingness to travel and work 6 days a week with long hours

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate mechanical construction projects from conception to completion
• Lead a team of engineers, VDC designers, schedulers, foremen, customers, and subcontractors
• Handle subcontracts, billings, RFIs, change orders, and submittals
• Maintain knowledge of general conditions, scope, and specifications
• Prepare fabrication shop work packages and budget estimates
• Work with Safety Dept. to manage project risks and ensure on-site safety
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve issues
• Ensure performance conditions in contracts are met
