Job summary

The Equity Engineering Group, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead piping vibration assessments across refineries nationwide. The role requires a solid mechanical engineering background, travel readiness, and hands-on field execution of vibration tests and stress analyses.

You will coordinate with senior engineers, inspect rotating equipment, and contribute to reliability and process improvements while developing expertise in ASME and B31 standards. A four-year degree is expected.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge in stress analysis, strength-of-materials, and vibration analysis.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and potential relocation.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to stress, strength-of-materials, and vibration analysis problems.
• Direct inspectors and subcontractors during vibration field assessments under supervision.
• Perform in-field vibration testing and analysis of equipment.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on rotating equipment, piping, pressure vessels, and fired heaters.
• Develop skills in piping vibration/natural frequency analyses, and ASME/B31 calculations.
• Support troubleshooting and optimization of pump and compressor performance.
• Provide project management and technical review support.
