Job summary

The Equity Engineering Group is seeking an Entry-Level Junior Mechanical Field Engineer (TRAVEL) based in the United States. The role centers on executing piping vibration severity assessments in operating refineries and involves extensive travel, including relocation possibilities in some cases.

You will work under senior engineers on consulting and development projects related to rotating equipment, piping, and pressure vessels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Willingness to travel up to ~75% is required.
• Strong background in stress analysis, strength-of-materials, and vibration analysis is expected.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to stress, strength-of-materials, and vibration analyses.
• Direct inspectors and subcontractors during vibration field assessments under supervision.
• Perform in-field vibration testing and analysis of equipment.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on rotating equipment, piping, vessels, and heaters.
• Support troubleshooting and optimization of pumps, compressors, and equipment.
