Job summary

First Chair Destinations in Vermont is seeking a Maintenance Technician to travel between vacation rental properties daily, performing general repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting appliances, HVAC, plumbing, and wifi to ensure exceptional guest and owner experiences.

You will coordinate with third‑party vendors, participate in on‑call rotations, and maintain company standards for safety, cleanliness, and efficiency while delivering friendly, responsive service.

Qualifications

• 2 years of basic property maintenance experience.
• Experience with appliance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and carpentry repairs.
• Tech-savvy with mobile apps and digital systems.
• Excellent time management and reliability.
• Willing to travel between worksites.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance tasks and projects, traveling between multiple worksites daily.
• Maintain homes with general repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to guest issues regarding maintenance, including appliance and wifi troubleshooting.
• Coordinate owner-approved maintenance through tickets to vendors.
• Negotiate and maintain relationships with third-party vendors.
• Meet company standards for guest/owner satisfaction and efficiency.
• Be part of on-call rotation for urgent issues.
• Maintain open communication with team and management.
• Assist colleagues and management in other roles during urgent times.
• Maintain hot tubs with on-site training.
• Collect and remove trash and debris.
• Follow up on time-sensitive maintenance needs and coordinate with providers.
• Other duties as assigned in hospitality.
