Job summary

CIRSA is seeking a traveling Risk Control Law Enforcement Consultant to lead process-improvement efforts across Colorado member agencies and develop model law enforcement risk control programs. This hybrid role requires residency in the Greater Denver area and regular statewide travel with CIRSA-provided vehicle.

You will consult with municipal clients to minimize loss, conduct audits, develop training materials, and manage related data and reports.

Qualifications

Ten+ years of direct law enforcement experience or equivalent education/experience.
Bachelor’s degree in police science or criminal justice; law degree preferred.
Current or former sworn peace officer status within past five years, preferably in Colorado.

Responsibilities

Lead law enforcement process improvement efforts across CIRSA-member agencies.
Develop model risk control programs for member participation.
Provide professional consultation to cities and towns to minimize loss.
Review processes, policies, and conduct audits; provide corrective action guidance.
Deliver police-specific safety and risk training programs via webinar and in-person formats.
Travel regularly across Colorado; CIRSA vehicle will be provided.
