Job summary

Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool seeks a subject matter expert in law enforcement risk management to provide consultations, trainings, and resources for Members. The role develops and conducts training programs, collaborates with consultants, and responds to Member requests, supporting loss prevention for agencies with law enforcement operations.

Qualifications

• Education aligns with criminal justice or public administration fields.
• Experience leading law enforcement or risk management activities in Texas is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications for reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite consultations, training, and strategic discussions with law enforcement leaders.
• Develop risk management training and address exposures through lectures, exercises, and discussions.
• Review law updates and case law to advise Members and Pool staff on exposures and trends.
• Analyze loss trends and communicate recommendations and action plans.
• Collaborate with partner organizations and support the Contract Training Provider program.
• Participate in officers' safety initiatives and create usable resources.
• Maintain certifications through ongoing education.
