Job summary

Amteck in Kentucky is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to work under a Foreman or Superintendent and may supervise a small crew. The role covers installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems and related materials, with opportunities to learn other divisions such as low voltage and fire alarm.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, bending, threading and installing conduit; terminating devices and feeders; reading blueprints; laying out work from drawings, and mentoring

Qualifications

5-7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
Owns all tools required by company policy and can use them to perform tasks.
Willingness to work weekends and overtime; capable of learning on the job.

Responsibilities

Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using measuring devices and hand tools.
Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels, brand circuit and feeder conductors.
Read project specifications, blueprints and schematics.
Lay out small areas of work from electrical drawings and project documents, including underground layout.
Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
