Job summary

Cristian Pietoso Italian Restaurant Group is seeking a Traveling Chef to lead a scratch kitchen, set menus, study recipes, hire staff, and deliver high-quality Italian dishes across venues in the Cincinnati area.

You will manage inventory, supervise cooks, and ensure health and safety standards while offering menu creativity and exceptional guest experiences. This role offers growth within a respected restaurant group.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook.
• Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques.
• Leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
• Excellent time management abilities in a high-volume setting.
• Familiarity with sanitation regulations and safe food handling.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain a scratch kitchen for Italian cuisine.
• Study recipes and gather ingredients for each dish.
• Cook food in a timely and consistent manner.
• Delegate tasks to kitchen staff and supervise cooks.
• Inform wait staff about daily specials and plating standards.
• Ensure appealing plate presentation and portion control.
• Monitor stock and place orders to prevent shortages.
• Experiment with new ingredients and recipe adjustments.
